Yungblud drops Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today, Yungblud has delivered his new single, ‘Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today’.
After the recording of the fan-featuring music video for the track was shut somewhere near police in London’s Southbank last week, the ‘Cotton Candy’ star has dropped the track and promotion for the latest melody from his impending self-titled LP.
In a public statement, Yungblud – whose genuine name is Dominic Harrison – said of the tune about not letting haters ruin joy: “To me, this melody is what joy feels like. A defiant sort of satisfaction. Taking a gander at yourself in the mirror and telling the sadness to f*** off and return another day.
“I wanted this tune to be a little part of somebody’s day. Regardless of what they’re going through, they can put this on and feel a bit stronger today. That’s the vision 1st Quarter GDP Growth; that’s the fantasy.”
The latest track follows ‘The Funeral’ featuring Ozzy Osbourne and ‘Recollections’ with WILLOW.
‘YUNGBLUD’ is delivered on September 2.
In the interim, the ‘fleabag’ hitmaker is looking at a collaboration with The Rolling Stones after meeting icon Sir Mick Jagger.
The 24-year-old rocker got the opportunity to meet the ‘Satisfaction’ vocalist at their Liverpool concert at Anfield football stadium recently, and the 78-year-old music legend recently respected Yungblud for leading for rock ‘n’ roll in the 21st century by presenting him with a guitar propelled by the late Buddy Holly’s Gibson J-45.
What’s more, it was a “blessing from heaven” for the pop troublemaker star.
Addressing The Sun paper’s Bizarre segment, he said: “He’s a genuine legend of mine. We talked about music, the state of rock ‘n’ roll, the energy within it and the diversity in exciting music right at this point.
Inquired as to whether a Stones collaboration is on the cards, he answered: “I’d cherish that. We’re in contact, we’ve met and assuming the opportunity emerges, absolutely.”
The track is a two-minute blast of energetic pop-punk moored by its mobilizing cry of a titular snare, “Don’t feel like feeling sad today!” The track shows up with a music video that captures a recent exhibition Yungblud gave on the rear of a flatbed truck in London’s Southbank to an unruly horde of fans moshing and having a water fight. (The impromptu exhibition reportedly must be shut somewhere around police for congestion concerns.)
In a statement, Yungblud offered some insight into the inspiration behind his new tune. “I wrote this melody on a morning when I didn’t actually want to get out of bed. I sat and took a gander at the roof, head loaded with such a lot of shit, perusing what the internet was saying regarding me that day, and I just didn’t feel like feeling sad,” he said.
“Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today” is the third tune Yungblud has let out of his forthcoming self-titled collection, which is set to show up on Sept. 2. The tune follows collection opener “The Funeral,” as well as “Recollections,” which features Willow.
Yungblud has a modest bunch of North American festival dates booked for this fall, remembering stops at Riot Fest for Chicago, Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky, Firefly in Dover, Delaware, and Austin City Limits in Austin.
