Netflix is buying Boss Fight Entertainment, a Texas-based independent gaming designer.
Why it is important: This is Netflix’s third gaming acquisition since it disclosed its aspirations in this space.
Prior to getting into gaming, Netflix had not made numerous critical acquisitions. Up until this point, its gaming buys have been on the limited scale.
Boss Fight just has one game recorded on its site, “Prison Boss,” yet its originators had recently evolved hits like “Period of Empires,” “Star Wars: The Old Republic,” “Corona Wars” and “CastleVille.”
Make up for lost time speedy: Netflix isn’t playing around with regards to gaming’s it monster’s future to develop significance to the streaming.
Last July, Netflix marked another general arrangement with Shonda Rhimes that included gaming and computer generated reality content.
